2009 Feng Shui Updates - Good Feng Shui Areas in 2009

As a general advice, be sure to have the feng shui areas with the yearly 2009 beneficial stars brightly lit and with fresh, active yang energy. Clutter clear to allow for a good flow of energy in your home.

The Chinese Feng Shui 2009 New Year (Lunar New Year) starts on January 26th, 2009; it is the feng shui year of the Earth Ox.

Southeast feng shui area is the luckiest feng shui sector in 2009 with the annual star 8, the Wealth feng shui Star. Fire feng shui element colors, such as red, pink, purple, orange and yellow, are excellent in your home or office SE feng shui area. Store your financial papers in the SE area in 2009. Use crystals to enhance the wealth energy, especially amethyst and rose quartz (see our short video on the feng shui use of crystals.)

As the 8 star also governs relationships in 2009, be mindful about your SE representing the energy of harmony in love relationships. If you use traditional feng shui wealth cures you can place the three legged toad facing towards the inside of the house or your lucky feng shui direction, the god of wealth, etc; as well as love feng shui cures such as the dragon and phoenix or the mandarin ducks. Avoid strong metal feng shui element items here in 2009.

South feng shui area in 2009 has the 4 star, the star governing romance, as well as creative endeavors. Blue and black are good colors for the South this year, as, being water feng shui element colors, they feed the wood element of the current 4 star. Avoid fire and metal element items or colors in the South in 2009. Display images of romance, as well as exciting travel destinations or creative projects. This is an ideal place for your dreamboard in 2009. Green plants and fresh flowers are excellent here.

Think of South feng shui area in 2009 as your secondary love & romance area and be sure to energize the energy of love relationships, be it with images, specific feng shui items or personal love symbols.

Southwest feng shui area in 2009 has the beneficial 6 white star. It brings the helpful and auspicious energy to achieve recognition for your accomplishments. It also encourages you to aim higher and become more than you thought possible. This feng shui energy can be strengthened with both wealth and business/carrer feng shui cures. Earth element colors, as always, are good in SW, especially because the earth element supports the visiting annual star. Gold is welcomed here in gold ingots, Chinese coins, or any other golden color items speaking to you of success and wealth. Avoid fire element colors, as well as candles in SW area in 2009.

Northwest feng shui area receives the water element of the 1 star in 2009, thus forming a good relationship with the governing metal element of the NW. Metal objects (various items), shapes (round) and colors (gray and white) are recommended for this area. Avoid candles or fire feng shui element colours such as red, pink, purple, or orange in NW in 2009. Water feng shui element colors, such as blue or black, are good in your NW decor accents this year. Metal feng shui cures, such as a brass gourd, or 6 Chinese coins, can also be placed here.

Center has the very fortunate purple 9 star in 2009, which is the fire element star. Fire being nourishing for the earth element of the center, this area will radiate a very enjoyable, happy energy in 2009. Be sure not to put down the fire element in the center with water feng shui element items, such as mirrors, colors black and blue, as well as actual water features or images of water. Fresh flowers, candles, happy images, etc - all the good vibes items - will only strengthen the already happy potential of this auspicious area. Work with number 9 to multiply the benefits. For example, you can have an arrangement of 9 red or purple candles, or an image of 9 pink flowers.
